Celebrating our diverse community
Nearly 200 ACS boarders and staff gathered to celebrate the achievements of boarding and our international community at our Annual International Dinner. The event included welcomes from students in a wide range of languages, guest speeches, wonderful food and a great atmosphere of diversity and celebration.
At Cobham, we regularly find ways to celebrate our throng of global citizens. We have already raised national flags on 19 occasions this year, and even our recent High School theatre production was an English translation of a Chinese play.
Our teaching faculty has representatives from 44 different nationalities - from Austria to Australia, and from Norway to New Zealand! Our student population is equally wonderfully and culturally diverse, with students from 79 different countries, representing each of the continents. The largest portion of our students come from Europe, while the smallest comes from Australasia. We also have students from countries representing every letter of the alphabet except 'X'. We are truly the world under one roof!
