ACS Hillingdon Celebrates their 45th Graduating Cohort
ACS Hillingdon proudly celebrated the achievements of its 45th graduating cohort during a joyful and heartfelt graduation ceremony. Surrounded by family, friends, and faculty, students marked the close of their academic journey at Hillingdon, with final exam results still to come in July.
Congratulations to our graduating cohort. Although it’s always sad saying farewell to students, I am hugely excited for what the future holds for this very bright and talented group. We are proud to have played a part in shaping their journey, and we look forward to seeing the many ways they will make a positive impact on the world. On behalf of the entire school community, I wish them every success and happiness in their exciting chapters ahead.
The evening also recognised students for standout contributions across academics, sport, the arts, international-mindedness, and wider school life. Sam S. was named Valedictorian and received the prestigious Founder’s Award, celebrating his exceptional accomplishments and leadership. He delivered a memorable joint speech alongside fellow graduate Diego S., striking a perfect balance of humour and reflection.
Our success over the past couple years has been pretty remarkable. As stated by Nelson Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it is done.” Or, in the words of a much wiser philosopher, Drake: “We started from the bottom; now we're here”. And personally, I think “here” is a really good place to be. This class of 2025 is one of the most decorated in ACS history, with an incredible 213 university offers from institutions around the world.
Graduating is not necessarily celebrating all of what we have learned. Graduating is a celebration of the how we have all gained different sets of skills that will stick with us for the rest of our lives. Though the times ahead are still uncertain and unclear, through these connections and skills learned in these past four years of high school, I know for a fact that all of us will go far in life, no matter what comes next.
From every corner of the ACS Hillingdon community, congratulations to the Class of 2025 – a remarkable group of young people ready to take on the world.
