Build Together - New Sports and Activities Centre
The centre will create a much-needed additional space for sport and activities for all.
We were delighted to embark on our exciting project at the end of 2023 - the development of a new Sports and Activities Centre for our wonderful community. The centre will create a much-needed additional space for sport and activities for all, freeing the auditorium to be dedicated to performing arts.
The new space will include:
a state-of-the-art fitness suite
climbing wall
a sports coaching space
a new sports hall for a wide range of sports and activities
The development will enable us to extend our sports curriculum and reach, so that every student can take full advantage of the incredible range of sports and fitness programmes available at the school. Children will be able to practice as individuals and in teams, fostering qualities and skills that will lay firm foundations for their future and experiencing the joys and setbacks of competitive sport.
I’m really looking forward to the new sports centre opening, so I can use the weights room during my free time and improve my fitness, strength, and mental wellbeing. The climbing wall will be really fun to use as an exciting new activity during PE and Sports Clubs and the new sports hall space will really help during basketball and volleyball season to add more training space for our school teams.
In light of our newfound space, I think there will be a shift in the dynamics between middle school and high school students. The school community will become more cohesive as the expanded space will enable greater interaction. The new Sports and Activities Centre will open up a multitude of opportunities for us, and will attract a broader interest in physical activity. Personally, I am thrilled about the prospect of utilising the climbing wall and fitness room regularly!

Having two children who have been attending ACS Hillingdon for more than seven years now, we are delighted by the school's approach to learning. We have watched them blossom over the years thanks to the beautiful settings of course, but mostly because of the amazing ACS team of teachers and staff that continues to support and guide them in the most caring way. We are excited to see the school expand its capabilities on the sports front and believe it will allow students to be active in all weathers, which can be a challenge in the UK! We cannot wait to see the final result and witness all the students' smiles when they get to have fun in the newly created space.
