A DAY TO REMEMBER
Celebrating the Class of 2025
On Friday 23 May, our community came together for one of the most memorable events in the school calendar – the annual Upper School Graduation Ceremony. It was an evening filled with pride, inspiration, music, and heartfelt reflections as we celebrated the 65 remarkable students of the Class of 2025.
Held in our beautifully decorated (and transformed!) sports hall, the ceremony marked not only the end of a chapter, but the exciting beginning of new adventures in higher education and beyond. Students crossed the stage to receive their diplomas to thunderous applause, cheered on by proud families, friends, and teachers who have watched them grow, learn, and thrive.
Celebrating Growth, Character and Achievement
Head of School Mark Wilson opened the evening with words of deep admiration and encouragement.
“I feel extremely privileged to have witnessed the personal and academic growth in this graduating class. Each student has shown tremendous dedication, curiosity and character throughout their time at ACS Egham and I am incredibly proud of their achievements and have every confidence in the bright futures ahead of them.
This graduating class represents the very best of what an IB education can offer: independent thinkers, compassionate leaders and active global citizens who are ready to shape the future. I wish them all the very best in their next steps. I would also like to thank the students who performed music or spoke at the event, for making the ceremony all the more memorable. Finally, I would like to thank our amazing staff who have inspired and supported the students towards this important milestone.”
Student Voices, Lasting Impact
Representing her peers, Grade 12 student Imogen Wiggins delivered a powerful speech on behalf of the Class of 2025.
What the IB experience has done for all of us is to build resilience. The legacy of our experience here at ACS Egham will allow us to embrace new opportunities as they come - and not shy away from them.
Honouring Excellence
Several students were recognised for exceptional achievement with senior awards. For the first time in school history, ACS Egham proudly named two Valedictorians – one from each of the International Baccalaureate programmes offered.
IB Diploma Programme Valedictorian: Asmit Agrawal, who holds offers from University College London, Warwick, and Bath (with a 50% scholarship), as well as Erasmus University and Bocconi University.
IB Career-related Programme Valedictorian: Max O’Brien, who received offers to study at Leeds, York, and Nottingham Trent.
The prestigious Founder’s Award was presented to Efe Akin, in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and contributions to school life. Efe has offers from University College London and King’s College London to study Politics and International Relations.
As the only school in England to offer all four International Baccalaureate programmes, ACS Egham empowers students to become not only strong academics, but confident, globally minded individuals. The Class of 2025 exemplifies the success of this vision – ready to lead, ready to grow, and ready to make a difference.
