LEARNING THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
ACS Cobham is transforming learning through technology in ways that inspire and engage
How ACS Cobham is leading the way in EdTech
At the cutting edge of educational innovation, ACS Cobham is transforming learning through technology in ways that inspire and engage. This January, we showcased our groundbreaking work at the BETT 2025 Conference, one of the largest EdTech events in the world. We highlighted the creative and purposeful integration of iPads at ACS Cobham into education, from Early Years to Middle School.
Revolutionising Early Years Learning with iPads
At BETT, ACS Cobham Educational Technology Specialist, Lyndsey Stuttard, delivered an inspiring talk titled “Innovating with iPad in Early Years." Speaking to a packed audience, Stuttard demonstrated how our Early Years team is harnessing the power of iPads to expand opportunities for young learners.
Through tools like augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and 3D design, children as young as three and four are being introduced to diverse, creative, and interactive learning experiences. Each child has access to their own 1:1 device, allowing them to immerse themselves in projects that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy. The overwhelmingly positive response to Stuttard's presentation underscored the growing recognition of technology's role in enriching early education.
BETT 2025 was the first of its kind in my opinion, a clear shift away from STEM and hands-on products with much more focus on AI. It seemed that nearly every company present had some form of AI associated with their product. As a speaker talking about ACS Cobham's approach to innovating in Early Years with iPad, I too touched on the subject of Artificial Intelligence. ACS Cobham has chosen to provide purposeful and meaningful opportunities for our students to leverage using AI, as a tool to enhance their ideas and help tap into more creative potential.
Middle School Students Take Centre Stage
The innovation didn't stop with Early Years at BETT. ACS Cobham Middle School Digital Design Club students made their mark with their 3D and AR projects at the Academia Technology Group stand, drawing an enthusiastic crowd.
Each project was inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with students identifying global challenges and designing creative solutions using iPads. From addressing clean energy needs to tackling waste management, their designs highlighted the potential for technology to make a real-world impact. Visitors were captivated by our students' passion, ingenuity, and the professional quality of their projects. For many attendees, it was a powerful reminder of how digital tools, when used thoughtfully, can empower young people to think critically and act globally.
Our students also benefitted greatly from BETT; for the 3rd year running our Middle School Digital Design Club students were invited by Academia Technology Group to their stand to showcase their amazing AR/3D designs. While the students were sharing their ideas with attendees at BETT, they thrived, truly diving into public speaking and taking the opportunity to engage thoroughly with their audience.
A Vision for the Future
These events are a testament to ACS Cobham's commitment to integrating technology into education in meaningful ways. By equipping students with the tools and skills they need to explore, create, and innovate, we are preparing the next generation to thrive in a digital world. From inspiring the youngest learners to giving Middle School students a platform to address global issues, we are setting a standard for what modern education can achieve.
