Sowmiya Kasthuri joins ACS Doha as the new Dean of Admissions... ...while ACS Hillingdon also welcomes a new Dean of Admissions: John Leiner. ACS Egham introduces a new after school programme to help dual-working parents. ACS Cobham now offers flexi-boarding for day students.
This academic year, ACS Doha welcomed new Dean of Admission, Sowmiya Kasthuri (pictured left, with her team), to the school. Sowmiya joins ACS as the school opens its first grade 12 class, with 2015-16 marking the first year that the school will be teaching students from 3 through to 18.
ACS Doha is now accepting applications for 2015-16 enrolment, and is hosting an Open Morning for families on 16th January. Please see the ACS Doha website or contact the Admissions team to find out the latest availability of space.
This year John Leiner (pictured below) joined us as the new Dean of Admissions at ACS Hillingdon. We bid farewell to Rudianne Soltis, our Dean of Admissions for the past eight years, who got married and moved back to Canada last summer.
John has extensive experience of working in international schools around the world, and is is already making his mark working with professionals in the relocation community here in the UK.
Limited space is available in some grades at ACS Hillingdon right now, and if you contact John or his colleagues in Admissions, he will be happy to provide details. The school is also holding open mornings in February for interested parents.
ACS Egham has introduced its Jaguar Homework and Activities Club from 3:15 to 6:00pm on Mondays to Fridays, in response to demand from dual-working parents. Parents have flexibility on which days and times they wish their child to attend, and uptake so far has been extremely positive.
To find out more about the club, please contact our Dean of Admissions, Linda Kavanagh, or her colleagues in Admissions. ACS Egham is also holding an open morning later this month, for parents who wish to find out more about the school.
ACS Cobham has one of the finest boarding houses in the country, but until now it has been the sole domain of our 5 and 7 day boarders. From October 9th however, parents day students will be book nights in the dorm for their children on a first come first served basis, space permitting.
This new service is designed to provide greater choice and options for our busy families, for example when work trips require one or both parents to be away from home for a few nights.
To find out more, please contact our Dean of Admissions, Heidi Ayoub, or her colleagues in Admissions
