By Andrew J Kittell, Director of Corporate Relations, ACS North American Office These past few weeks, the ACS International Schools (ACS) campuses near London and in Doha, Qatar welcomed families from around the word. It’s an exciting time of year, one that makes our dedicated team proud of being part of the educational journey of now over 60,000 students...

Our former students and alumni have distinguished themselves in nearly every professional realm. And soon our Alumni and Friends Association chapters across North America will become a more vocal and active presence, just as our office here has been active in the Global Mobility space for more than 20 years.
ACS attended September’s CERC Conference in Calgary, one that celebrated the Council’s 25 years of thought leadership in the areas of international mobility, immigration reform, and talent management. All told, for now 50 years Canadian expat families and their sponsors have contributed significantly to the success of ACS International Schools. We’re thankful for this relationship and the one we have with CERC. ACSers have presented at CERC Conferences and volunteered in other capacities. Also in this issue, you’ll learn more about CERC and its long-serving CEO Steve Cryne.
Once again, ACS will exhibit at the WERC GWS, the world’s single-largest gathering of global mobility professionals. Please look for us at Booth 605 in the Marketplace exhibit hall where you may enter to win $1,500 in cash via the always popular and rather whimsical “Moose Passport” promotion. British Ambassador Sir Kim and Lady Vanessa Darroch meet past ACS British Studies Scholars
In mid-September, seven of this year’s 21 British Studies Summer Program Scholars were honored during a formal garden party hosted in Washington, DC by Ambassador Sir Kim and Lady Vanessa Darroch, herself twice an ACS teacher. These students are now part of an academically able and highly deserving group of over 300 summer scholars, some who’ve gone onto graduate from Harvard, Stanford, NYU, and the University of London among many other notable higher ed. institutiones in the US and the UK. Next year, British Studies will turn 20. To learn more about this innovated all-scholarship opportunity, please visit our website.
During the remainder of the fall season, ACS representatives will sponsor, exhibit, and present at key relocation and schooling-linked events. Please catch up with us here:
New Jersey Relocation Council Conference November 14th in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey
Independent Educational Consultants Association Conference November 15th-17th in Washington, DC
The team here looks forward to reconnecting with friends and colleagues across North America and making new connections this year, next, and beyond.
