I recently attended the Relocate networking event at the Institute Of Directors and Worldwide ERC conference in London. These were both well-attended events attracting many visitors from around the globe, as well as Global Mobility professionals from different parts of the UK.
Sir Malcolm Rifkind opened the conference, addressing the potential issues arising from ‘Brexit’ and the election of Donald Trump and the Republican administration and their impact on the wider geopolitical arena. Top talking points during the conference were risk management, cyber security (working with data) and understanding talent.
I was delighted to meet one of the speakers during the conference whose children attended our Cobham campus. I learned that the ex-students still speak very fondly about our school and had the best time at ACS! It is always great to hear these stories and meet our parents, past and present.

This month, ACS Cobham delighted students and staff by unveiling a newly built trio of treehouses in the Lower School playground.
We know that children need to be encouraged and nurtured to engage with nature in meaningful ways and the addition of these treehouses will foster creative and cooperative student play, allow some risk-taking, and provide teachers with a unique outdoor classroom space.

Lacy Chapman, Lower School Principal at ACS Cobham said:.
"The treehouse design was based on a consultation with teachers and students, and a review of research about creative play. We are really excited to be able to add this amazing and much-anticipated feature to our playground!”
